h) Starting the model helicopter
Switch on the remote control, and then turn on the model
helicopter.
Place yourself behind the helicopter and briefly press the
start, landing and motor stop button (see figure 1, position
7). Both rotors will start to rotate at an increasing speed
until the helicopter takes off.
Once the helicopter reaches an altitude of approx. 1 m,
the motor power decreases and a built-in height sensor is
used to keep the helicopter at a constant altitude.
You can then control the helicopter as described above.

i) Trimming the helicopter
If the helicopter keeps turning to one side, you can trim the controls accordingly.
If the helicopter turns to the right, press and hold the left trim button (see figure 1, position 9) until the model stops
turning to the right.
If the model turns to the left, trim the helicopter using the right trim button (see figure 1, position 2).

Practical tips
Attaching small weights to the nose or tail can help to balance the helicopter so that it doesn't move forwards or
backwards in hover mode.
For best results, however, the helicopter should be nose-heavy. This makes the helicopter move slowly forwards after
takeoff without any remote control commands.
