Pitch function
The pitch function allows you to tilt the model helicopter forwards and backwards (see figure 11). The helicopter is
titled by the electric motor and horizontal propeller on the back of the helicopter. The tail of the helicopter moves up
or down depending on the direction of the tail propeller. In hover mode, the helicopter stays horizontal and the rear
propeller does not rotate.
The pitch function is also controlled with the right-hand lever (see figure 1, position 4). Moving the lever forwards
raises the tail and makes the helicopter fly forwards. Moving the lever backwards lowers the tail and makes the model
fly backwards.
g) Practical flight tips for beginners
Although the model can be flown in small rooms, we recommend using a unobstructed space of 3 x 3 m for the first
few flight attempts.
Position yourself directly behind the helicopter. This ensures that the model reacts to remote control commands (right,
left, forwards and backwards) exactly as you see them. If the cockpit is facing you, the helicopter will respond in the
opposite way.
Important!
If the rotors hit any objects and become trapped, or the model tips over, switch off the rotor motors immedi-
ately. To do this, press and hold the start, landing and motor stop button (see figure 12, position 7) until the
motors come to a standstill.
Never attempt to stop the motors when the model is flying, as this will cause the helicopter to fall to the
ground and may damage the components.
Never attempt to grab the helicopter with your hands when it is in the air, as this may cause an injury.
To prevent the helicopter battery from overdischarging, land the helicopter when the LED on the helicopter
starts to flash.
Allow the helicopter battery and model helicopter to cool down before charging or replacing the battery.
