GEAR SELECTION
This tool is fitted with a 2-speed
gearbox (RDC4014). The gear is
used to reduce the output speed
when using large cutters (Fig. 3).
SLIDE SELECTOR POSITION
CAPSTAN
The quick-release capstan assists
in simple dual-side operation.
To remove the capstan,
accomplish the following (Fig. 4):
1.
Press in the central button of
the capstan hub (RDC4142),
holding onto the capstan arms (RDD4104).
2.
With the button depressed, pull the capstan away from the main
body, holding on to the capstan arms.
3.
Re-insert the hexagonal shaft into the hexagonal slot to attach the
capstan.
PIPE ADAPTER KIT
To fit the pipe adapter kit, accomplish the
following:
1.
Assess whether the pipe to be cut
has a diameter between 2-1/4 in. and
4 in. (Fig. 5) or over 4 in. (Fig. 6).
2.
Attach the 4 adjustable angle plates
(RD3328) with cap screws (RD4325)
and washers (RD4205) to the magnet
side. Do not tighten.
