Commissioning

a) Inserting Batteries in the Transmitter
Open the battery compartment at the bottom of the transmitter, push the battery compartment lid out forwards (ob-
serve the arrow on the battery compartment lid). Insert two new batteries type AA/Mignon. Observe correct polarity
(plus/+ and minus/-), see label on the battery compartment of the transmitter. Close the battery compartment again.
Due to the lower voltage of rechargeable batteries (example: AA/Mignon battery = rated voltage 1.5 V,
AA/Mignon rechargeable battery = rated voltage 1.2 V), the operating time will be shorter, since the transmit-
ter will report a too-low voltage rather soon.
If you want to use rechargeable batteries in the transmitter anyway, we recommend use of NiMH recharge-
able batteries with a low self-discharge.
b) Removing the Car Body
The car body is attached to the car by 2 clips; see circle
marks in the figure on the right.
Pull the clips out and carefully take the car body off up-
wards.
If there is a safety film on the car body, remove it.
c) Inserting the Rechargeable Batteries into the Vehicle
Important!
This vehicle is exclusively suitable for use with two Li-Ion rechargeable batteries of type "17500" (rated volt-
age 3.7 V). Never use any other rechargeable batteries or batteries in the vehicle.
First switch off the vehicle (for position of the slider, see the
arrow in the figure on the right, "O" = off).
To insert the two rechargeable batteries, remove the two
covers on the left and right of the vehicle; they are only
connected by clips.
Insert the two rechargeable batteries in the correct polar-
ity (observe plus/+ and minus/-; see labels in the battery
compartment).
Clip on the covers again.
