Please read this engine manual prior to operating the equipment. It instructs you how to safely and easily set-up, operate and maintain your machine.

Page 7 PRE OPERATION BE-LS25Ex 1. BEFORE operating this log splitter, make sure that you wear gear such as goggles or safety glasses, steel toed shoes and tight ﬁtting gloves (without loose cu s or drawstrings). Always wear a protective hearing device when operating this log splitter. 2.

Page 9 OPERATOR ZONE BE-LS25Ex ONLY operate the log splitter from the operator zone as shown in the diagrams below. The operator has the safest and most e cient access to the control valve and the beam in this location. Operating the log splitter in another location can result in serious injury or death.
Page 10 MAINTENANCE SAFETY BE-LS25Ex 1. Stop the engine, disconnect the spark plug and ground it against the engine before cleaning, or inspecting the machine. NEVER perform any service or repair on your log splitter without ﬁrst removing the spark plug wire. 2.
Page 11 FIRE PREVENTION BE-LS25Ex 1. ALWAYS take a Class B ﬁre extinguisher with you when operating this log splitter in dry areas. 2. NEVER operate your log splitter near a ﬂame, spark or smoke during operation. Extinguish all cigarettes, cigars, pipes and other sources of ignition. Hydraulic oil and gasoline are ﬂammable and can explode. 3.
Page 12 TOWING SAFETY BE-LS25Ex 1. NEVER carry any cargo or wood on your log splitter. 2. NEVER allow anyone to sit or ride on your log splitter. 3. ALWAYS turn the fuel shut o valve on the engine to the “OFF” position before towing the log splitter. Failure to do so may result in ﬂooding the engine.

Some components are very heavy and will require additional people or mechanical handling equipment. NOTE: All references in this manual to the left or right side and front or back of the log splitter are from the operating position only.

Step 3: Use scissors or a knife to cut and remove the straps securing the parts to the beam or tank assembly, Including tongue assembly and log tray assemblies.

Page 16 ASSEMBLING (CONT.) BE-LS25Ex Step 2: Install the tongue assembly to the reservoir tank. See Figure 5. 1. Pull out the spring loaded lock handle of ﬂip-down stand which hold the stand on the tongue, then the stand will automatically ﬂip down towards the ground and be secure in position. See Figure 5. 2.
Page 17 ASSEMBLING (CONT.) BE-LS25Ex 3. Adjust the engine side of the coupler shaft to make sure the engine key ﬁts into the slot of the coupler shaft, tighten the set screw just loosened. 4. If needed, slowly pull on the engine starter cord to rotate the engine shaft to align the ﬁxing holes on the engine.
Page 18 ASSEMBLING (CONT.) BE-LS25Ex Step 5: Install the beam assembly. See Figure 8. 1. Stand the beam upright on a ﬂat level. Two or more people are recommended to assist with raising and lowering the beam as it is very heavy. Have a helper support the beam as you perform the following steps. Be sure to keep hands away from any possible pinch points.
Page 19 ASSEMBLING (CONT.) BE-LS25Ex Step 6: Connect the hydraulic hoses. See Figure 9. There are three hydraulic hoses listed below, each of them has one end ﬁxed on the log splitter by manufacturer, and the other open end still needs to be attached. The hoses are labeled on the ends for easy installation. 1.
Page 20 ASSEMBLING (CONT.) BE-LS25Ex Step 7: Install the log tray assemblies. See Figure 10. 1. Lower the beam to horizontal position. Please refer to “Beam Operating Positions” section in this manual. 2. Position the log tray frames onto the beam as shown below and secure it with the M10 hardware loosely. 3.
Page 21 ASSEMBLING (CONT.) BE-LS25Ex Step 8: Assemble the control handle. See Figure 11. The control handle is shipped hanging from the valve on the handle link. 1. Remove the clevis pin and bow-tie cotter pin from the valve. 2. Rotate the control handle up into the operating position and secure with clevis pin and cotter pin, just removed.
Page 22 SET-UP BE-LS25Ex GAS & OIL FILL UP Service the engine with gasoline and engine oil as instructed in the engine manual packed with your log splitter. Read the instructions carefully. WARNING Use extreme care when handling gasoline. Gasoline is extremely ﬂammable and the vapors are explosive.
Page 23 SET-UP BE-LS25Ex FILL HYDRAULIC OIL The log splitter is shipped without hydraulic ﬂuid in the reservoir. Fill the reservoir before your initial use. 1. Remove the vented reservoir dipstick, which is located next to the engine on top of the reservoir tank. See Figure 14.
Page 24 SET-UP BE-LS25Ex KNOW CONTROLS & FEATURES NOTE: This Operator’s Manual covers several models. Log splitter features may vary by model. Not all features in this manual are applicable to all log splitter models and the log splitter depicted may di er from yours. Beam Lock The horizontal beam lock, as its name suggests, is used to secure the beam in the horizontal position.
Page 25 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS BE-LS25Ex Starting & Stopping The Engine Refer to the Engine Operator’s Manual packed with your log splitter for instructions on starting and stopping the engine. Beam Operating Positions 1. Place the log splitter on ﬂat, dry, solid ground. 2.
Page 26 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS BE-LS25Ex Using Control Handle The control handle has three positions. (See Figure 18). (FIGURE 18) Forward To split wood. Move the control handle to the FROWARD position to move wedge toward the log to split. NOTE: The control handle will return to the neutral position as soon as the handle is released during FROWARD process and the wedge stops moving forward.
Page 27 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS BE-LS25Ex Splitting The Wood 1. Start engine as instructed in the Engine Operator’s Manual included with the log splitter. 2. Grasp the log on the sides and place it on top of the beam against the end plate. Always split wood in the direction of the grain.
Page 28 TRANSPORTING BE-LS25Ex 1. Lower the beam to its horizontal position. Make certain the beam is locked securely with the horizontal beam lock. 2. Pivot the ﬂip-down stand up to transporting position. a. Pull out the lock handle of the stand and rotate it up. The stand will be secured horizontally with the tongue automatically.
Page 29 MAINTENANCE & ADJUSTMENTS BE-LS25Ex Regular maintenance is the best way to ensure the best performance and long life of your machine. Please refer to this manual and the engine manufacturer’s owner’s manual for maintenance procedures. WARNING! Do not make any adjustments without ﬁrst stopping the engine, disconnecting the spark plug wire and grounding it against the engine.
Page 30 MAINTENANCE & ADJUSTMENTS BE-LS25Ex Hydraulic Fluid Check the hydraulic ﬂuid level in the log splitter reservoir tank before each use. Maintain the ﬂuid level within the range speciﬁed on the dipstick at all times. Change the hydraulic ﬂuid level in the reservoir every 100 hours of operation. Follow the steps below: 1.
Page 31 MAINTENANCE & ADJUSTMENTS BE-LS25Ex O -Season Storage If the log splitter will not be used for more than 30 days, prepare it for storage as follows: WARNING Never store the machine, with fuel in the fuel tank, inside of a building where fumes may reach an open ﬂame, spark or ignition source such as a hot water or space heaters, furnaces, clothes dryers, stoves, electric motors, etc.
Page 32 TROUBLE SHOOTING BE-LS25Ex Most problems are easy to ﬁx. Consult the trouble shooting table below for common problems and their solutions. If you continue to experience problems, contact your local dealer. If the machine should start making an unusual noise or vibration, shut down the engine, wait 5 minutes for the machine to cool down, then inspect for damage.

Ajustez le côté moteur de l'arbre du coupleur pour vous assurer que la clavette du moteur s'insère dans la fente de l'arbre du coupleur, serrez la vis de réglage qui vient d'être desserrée. 4. Si nécessaire, tirez lentement sur le cordon du démarreur du moteur pour faire tourner l'arbre du moteur aﬁn d'aligner les trous de ﬁxation sur le moteur.

Deux personnes ou plus sont recommandées pour aider à lever et abaisser le faisceau car il est très lourd. Demandez à un assistant de soutenir la poutre pendant que vous e ectuez les étapes suivantes.

Il y a trois boyaux hydrauliques énumérés ci-dessous, chacun d'eux a une extrémité ﬁxée sur la fendeuse à bûche par le fabricant, et l'autre extrémité ouverte doit encore être attachée. Les boyaux sont étiquetés aux extrémités pour une installation facile.

Veuillez vous référer à la section "Positions de fonctionnement du faisceau" dans ce manuel. 2. Positionnez les cadres du plateau à bûches sur la poutre comme indiqué ci-dessous et ﬁxez-le avec la quincaillerie M10 sans serrer.

Lisez attentivement les instructions. AVERTISSEMENT Soyez extrêmement prudent lorsque vous manipulez de l'essence. L'essence est extrêmement inﬂammable et les vapeurs sont explosives.
Page 61 METTRE EN PLACE BE-LS25Ex REMPLIR L'HUILE HYDRAULIQUE La fendeuse à bûche est expédiée sans liquide hydraulique dans le réservoir. Remplissez le réservoir avant votre première utilisation. 1. Retirez la jauge du réservoir ventilé, qui se trouve à côté du moteur sur le dessus du réservoir. Voir Figure 14.

Page 65 MODE D'EMPLOI BE-LS25Ex Fendre le bois 1. Démarrez le moteur comme indiqué dans le manuel d'utilisation du moteur fourni avec la fendeuse à bûche. 2. Saisissez la bûche par les côtés et placez-la sur le dessus de la poutre contre la plaque d'extrémité. Fendez toujours le bois dans le sens du grain.
Page 66 TRANSPORTER BE-LS25Ex 1. Abaissez la poutre en position horizontale. Assurez-vous que le faisceau est solidement verrouillé avec le verrou de faisceau. 2. Faites pivoter le support rabattable vers le haut en position de transport a. Tirez la poignée de verrouillage du support et faites-la pivoter vers le haut. Le stand sera ﬁxé horizontalement avec le langue automatiquement.
Page 67 ENTRETIEN ET RÉGLAGES BE-LS25Ex Un entretien régulier est le meilleur moyen d'assurer les meilleures performances et une longue durée de vie de votre machine. Veuillez vous référer à ce manuel et au manuel du propriétaire du fabricant du moteur pour les procédures d'entretien.
Page 68 ENTRETIEN ET RÉGLAGES BE-LS25Ex Fluide hydraulique Vériﬁez le niveau de liquide hydraulique dans le réservoir de la fendeuse à bûche avant chaque utilisation. Maintenir le niveau de liquide tel qu’indiqué sur la jauge. Changez le niveau de liquide hydraulique dans le réservoir toutes les 100 heures de fonctionnement. Suivez les étapes ci-dessous : 1.
Page 69 ENTRETIEN ET RÉGLAGES BE-LS25Ex Entreposage hors saison Si la fendeuse à bûche n'est pas utilisée pendant plus de 30 jours, préparez-la pour tentreposage comme suit : AVERTISSEMENT Ne rangez jamais la machine, avec du carburant dans le réservoir, à l'intérieur d'un bâtiment où les fumées peuvent atteindre une ﬂamme nue, une étincelle ou une source d'inﬂammation telle qu'une eau chaude ou des radiateurs, fournaises, sécheuses, cuisinières, moteurs électriques, etc.
Page 70 DÉPANNAGE BE-LS25Ex La plupart des problèmes sont faciles à résoudre. Consultez le tableau de dépannage ci-dessous pour les problèmes courants et leur solutions.
