Scalding hazard
Emission of hot steam! Be careful when opening the lid or removing the steamer unit.
Be particularly careful when handling the device if there is hot liquid in the mixing
bowl.
Be careful when handling the steamer unit! Hot water may collect in the intermediate
panel and steamer adapter! Be careful when removing these parts!
Risk of injury associated with food spraying out of the device! Hold the meas-
uring cup fi rmly when chopping up ingredients (e.g. ice cubes) at elevated speeds (6
and higher) or when holding down the TURBO button.
Risk of electric shock and fi re
The device should only be connected to a properly installed plug socket with safety
contacts. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that
the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated. The mains voltage must match
the technical data of the device. Only use suitable extension cables whose technical
data is the same as that of the device.
Never immerse the device, mains cable or plug in water or other liquids and ensure
that they cannot fall into water or become wet.
Should the device fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Do not at-
tempt to pull the device out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power!
Never touch the device, mains cable or plug with wet hands when these components
are connected to the mains power.
Always switch the device off fi rst before you pull the mains plug out of the plug socket.
Use the device only in closed rooms.
Do not operate the device in a very damp environment.
Do not use the device near to combustible material or in rooms containing easily
ignitable dust or poisonous and explosive fumes.
Do not connect the device along with other consumers (with a high wattage) to a mul-
tiple socket in order to prevent overloading and a possible short circuit (fi re).
Do not place any fl ammable materials such as paper, cardboard or plastic in or on
the device.
Never cover the device with cloths or the like. Danger of overheating!
Beware of damage to the device
Maintain a suffi cient distance from heat sources such as hobs or ovens in order not
to damage the device. Do not place any naked fl ames, e.g. burning candles, in the
immediate vicinity of the device, cable or plug.
Lay the mains cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces (this also applies to the hot surfaces of
the device!).
Always place the device on a dry, level, fi rm and heat-resistant surface..
Do not place the device below kitchen wall units or similar cupboards. The rising
steam could cause damage to them!
Do not pull or carry the device by the mains cable.
