Opening out the handle (Illustration A1 + E1 + B1 )
IMPORTANT
Make sure the throttle cables are not kinked or jammed when lifting the
handlebars.
IMPORTANT
Make sure that the cables are not pinched, squeezed, twisted or overstretched
when the handlebars are folded apart or collapsed! Always run the cables along
the outside of the bar connection. A damaged cable may result in a technical
defect of the equipment.
Pull on the handlebar which is collapsed in a Z-shape upwards into place A1 .
When the top and bottom parts of the handlebar are on the same level, firmly
tighten the wing nuts by hand E1.
On the bottom part of the handlebar, swivel the ends with the toothed fitments
towards the back as far as necessary until they click into the toothed recess on the
mower housing B1.
This allows three different handlebar heights to be set.
Tighten the wing nuts on both sides by hand B1 .
Insert the cable harness (electro-start) and the throttle cable into the cable guides.
This prevents the cable harness or throttle cable being jammed when the
handlebar is folded down E1 .
Fix the throttle cable on the left lower bar using the shorter cable ties from the tool
bag.
CAUTION
When you activate the bar height adjustment, when loosening the wing nuts
B1 used to secure the bar bottom to the housing (only loosen sufficiently to
ensure that the bar can be moved freely) and snapping the toothed plastic
adaptations from the cut-out on the housing, it is possible that unintentional
upsetting of the bar may occur. In addition, this may result in crushed points
between the bar bottom and the housing. This may result in a risk of injury!
Handle starter assembly (Illustration L1 )
Remove the starter cable holder (1) from the tool bag.
Unscrew the nut until the two halves can be pushed over the bar.
There is a sticker (2) on the top bar showing the position of the starter cable
holder.
NOTE
For reasons of safety, the starter cable holder may only be fitted in the
prescribed position.
Push the motor stop safety control bar (3) onto the top part of the bar (4) and hold
it tight, pull the starter cable (5) out and insert it into the starter cable holder.
Fit the two halves (6) together, tighten the nut again. This prevents the starter
cable popping out.
The starter cable holder must be fitted / aligned in such a way that the starter cable
is freely accessible and does not rub against any other parts.
Attaching the grass collector to the mower (Illustration R1 + S1 )
Insert the collection bag frame with the bar first into the grass catch. Align the
upper seams of the grass catch on the bar.
Press the holding profile onto the frame of the collection bag frame R1 .
Open the ejection flap of the mower upwards.
Lift the grass collection bag on the carrier bar, insert the chute (1) R1 on the
collection bag opening into the ejection flap and hang the grass collection bag with
the two side hooks to the top of the mower housing S1 .
Fold the ejection flap onto the grass collection bag.
Adjusting the cutting height (Illustration I )
The cutting height is adjusted behing the motor.
Press the grey push button with your thumb and lift or lower the mower handle to
bring it into the required position.
Release the push button: the lever now engages in the required cutting height.
The marking on the left of the housing shows the adjusted cutting height.
IMPORTANT
Mowing at the lowest cutting height should only be carried out on level and plane
lawns!
Please observe that the lower cutting height settings may only be used for
optimal conditions. If you select cutting height that is too low, the turf can be
damaged and under certain circumstances it can even be destroyed.
Besides the cutting height, also the moving speed influences the cutting pattern
and collection result. Adapt the cutting height and moving speed to the grass
height to be cut.
Fitting the cable harness (only for electro-start)
Fix the pre-assembled cable harness to the right lower handle using the enclosed
longer cable clips in such a way that the plug can be fitted to the contacts of the starter
lock without tension.
Fitting the charged starter battery (only for electro-start)
(Illustration V1 + U1 )
Place the battery on the battery holder behind the motor from the side, ensuring
that the connection cable points to the rear.
Remove the battery cover and M6x120 screws from the tool bag.
