f) LOG RATE, measuring interval
To use the DMM for long-term recordings, log rate must be defined first. The basic
default setting here is a log rate of 0.5 seconds.
The table shows the available options.
Move to the submenu item "LOG RATE" with the navigation buttons and confirm it with
"ENTER".
Now select an appropriate log rate with the navigation buttons and confirm it with
"ENTER".
Press the button "CANCEL" to leave this function.
g) DATA LOG, long-term record
The digital multimeters can record up to 20,000 measured values for adjustable intervals, depending on type.
To start long-term recording, proceed as follows:
- Switch on the DMM and select the corresponding measuring range with the rotary control (4).
- Move to the submenu item "DATA LOG" with the navigation buttons and confirm it with "ENTER".
- The display shows "START".
- Press "ENTER" to confirm. The recording starts.
- To pause the recording, press "ENTER" again. The display indicates "PAUSE".
- Press "ENTER" again to continue the recording.
- To terminate the recording, change the measuring range or switch off the multimeter.
To look at the recorded values, proceed as follows:
- Move to the submenu item "DATA LOG" with the navigation buttons and confirm it with "ENTER".
- The upper display shows "START". Change to the selection range "VIEW" with the navigation buttons.
- Press "ENTER" to confirm. The last measured value stored will be displayed.
- To verify other measured values that were stored, switch through the memory slots with the navigation buttons
(left/right).
- The saved values of the measurement series can be displayed with a minimum or maximum indicator using the
navigation buttons (up/down) without having to view the values. This provides information on whether the next
measurement value has increased or decreased. If there is no change, no indicator will be set for this measure-
ment point. The apex to the next recorded measurement point will always be considered.
- When pressing on the up/down button again, the mode will switch to "Transform Point Display T". Each measure-
ment point is indicated with "Tx" (T = transform point), where x stands for a running number. Pressing the up/down
button again, will change the mode back to value display, etc.
