Installing the ISK system with ISB I1

- Adjust the installation width of the moving coil core SPK 52.2 (1) and clamping device's (3) angle
bracket to the width of the rail (factory setting corresponds to a 160mm wide rail).
- The coil core SPK 52.2 is generally attached to the side of the primary closing edge in the rail.
- The SPK 52.2 and clamping device's angle brackets should be positioned such in the rail that they
match the installation depth of the cover panel of +5mm from the outer edge and lie against the
upper edge of the roller section at the top.
- Attach the SPK 52.2 or clamping device angle bracket in this position to the rail using 2 M6 screws
on each side.
- Slide the clamping device and angle bracket with SPK 52.2 in the direction of the clamping device
(approx. 40cm).
- Screw the tension spring (4) onto the clamping device and only tighten by approx. 5 turns.
- Install the steel cable above the roller supports, making sure that the stationary coil core
SPK 51.2 (2) is threaded onto the cable (always determine the final position beforehand). Do not
twist the steel cable!
- Place the steel cable onto the thimble (5) and engage with the tension spring. Tighten the steel
cable and lock into place using rope clip (6).
- Push the clamping device and coil core SKP 52.2 incl. steel cable back to the pre-drilled positions
and screw on tightly.
- Use the tension spring to tighten the steel cable to such an extent that the individual coils of the
tension spring are separated by approx. 1 mm gaps.
The tension spring must not turn while being tightened.
- Secure the tension spring and clamping bolt with one of the two attached nuts.
- Trim back the end of the steel cable to such a point that the end of the cable can be easily connected
to the ground terminal.
- Strip approx. 1 cm of the PVC sheath from the end of the steel cable, insert the exposed end of the
cable into the ground terminal and lock.
- Adjust the height of the stationary coil core SPK 51.2 (2) to the installation height.
(Do not tighten screws!)
