- Trim back the end of the steel cable to such a point that the end of the cable can be easily connected
to the ground terminal.
- Strip approx. 2 cm of the PVC sheath from the end of the steel cable, insert the exposed end of the
cable into the ground terminal and lock.
- Now screw the mounting plate (6) with the pre-assembled coil core SPK 9 to the coil core
angle bracket (7) using the two supplied M6 screws (13) and mount to the floor or a
stationary part of the gate.
Attach the coil core angle bracket in such a way that the coil core does not restrict the movement of
the gate in any way and that the tensioned steel cable can run through the coil core SPK9 without
contacting the wearing bushings (18).

System Components:

- Connect the moving edges to the moving evaluation
electronics SPK 12. To do so, connect the moving
safety contact edge CLOSE (SKL 1) to terminals 5
and 6 of the moving electronic unit SPK12 and
the optional safety contact edge OPEN (SKL 4) to
terminals 3 and 4. If the OPEN safety contact edge
is not being used, contacts 3 and 4 are bypassed
using the supplied 8.2kΩ resistor.
