Electronic Throttle Pedal - ( 1 7 )
The electronic throttle pedal is located to the right of the brake
pedal The throttle pedal controls engine rpm and vehicle speed
by pressing the pedal with your right foot. Always check the pedal
function before driving.
The electronic throttle system has the following functions:
1 Start-in-gear protection function: The vehicle engine can start
directly in Neutral and Park, The foot brake must be applied to
start the engine if the transmission is in Low or High gear.
2 Reverse speed limit function: The vehicle speed is limited to 15
mph (25km/h) while operating in reverse gear
3 Idling function: When the vehicle is in Neutral, engine RPM is
limited to 5000rpm
4 Brake priority function: When the driver applies both brake
pedal and throttle pedal at the same time, the electronic throttle
body will close. The engine returns to idle automatically until
the brake and/or throttle are released.
5 Limp home function: If a fault of the electronic throttle body
or throttle pedal is detected, the system will enter into torque
limitation or limp home mode. If a fault occurs in the electronic
throttle body, the engine will enter into torque limitation and
RPM return to idling state. If a fault occurs in the electronic
throttle pedal, the vehicle will enter into limp home mode and
top engine speed will be less than 5000 rpm.
