13.12 Controller access
Accessing the Controller:
Release the two handle screws under the front of the
•
seat frame that connect the seat frame with the seat
module interface, ( A-Fig.13.20).
Flip the seat frame backwards and secure it with the
•
safety bar, (B-Fig.13.21).
CAUTION!
• Depending on options, the seat may be heavy to lift.It is
recommended that two people carry out this action.
• Avoid pivoting the seat more than 60° rearwards.
The Battery Cover is secured by hook and eye pads
located on the body shroud.
• Use gentle but firm hand pressure to lift the battery
cover off.
• Lift off the battery lid.
• The controller is fitted just below the battery cover,
(C-Fig.13.22).
To refit the seat locking screws, please refer to section
11.1.
WARNING!
• The controller is a non-servicable part.
• The controller is a safety critical part.
• Do not attempt a repair.
• If a fault with the controller is suspected, contact your
authorised Sunrise Medical service agent imediately.
13.13 Storage
When storing your wheelchair for long periods of time
(in excess of one week) first fully charge, and then
disconnect the batteries, to minimise battery discharge.
CAUTION!
Never store your wheelchair in direct sunlight or in a
damp/outdoor environment. It might bleach plastic parts
and components.
