6 Assembly and installation
The individually configured valve system is completely bolted together with all
components.
INFO: The assembly of the entire valve system is described in detail in the operat-
ing instructions for the valve system.
For more information, see Conversion and extension. See
extension.
7 Commissioning
7.1 Basic requirements
Product-specific requirements
• Use only 24 V DC PELV power circuits according to IEC 60204-1.
• Always connect the power supply via a safety isolating transformer according
to IEC 61558-1 / IEC 61558-2-6.
• Ensure that the supply voltage of the power pack is always < 300 V AC.
• Only actuate the switch when it is in de-energized state (material protection).
• Pay attention to current flow due to potential differences on the shield.
Connect the ground points of the system via a separate cable as necessary.

7.2 Preparation
General requirements
• Ensure correct cabling (material protection).
1
• Use ready-made plug connections and cables for connection.
• Do not exceed the current load of 0.5 A per output (material protection).
3
• Check the functionality and mode of operation of the sensors. See g Fig. 14.
• Check the functionality and mode of operation of the actuators. See
g Fig. 15.

Label the address intended or used for the bus coupler in field BTN.
u
I/O modules
Label connections directly on the labeling fields of the I/O modules.

The assignment of the labeling fields to the connections is given by the designa-
tion of the connections.

7.2.2 Making presettings at the bus coupler
All settings are made via the switches under the two screw connections A and B.
See
g 5.3.2 Bus coupler overview
Procedure
1. Unscrew the corresponding screw connection.
2. Make the appropriate setting as described below.
• Adjust the diagnostic messages. See
• Adjust the tolerance level of the valve supply. See
ance level of the valve
Screw the screw connection back in.
u
Tightening torque: 0.6 +0.2 Nm.
7.2.3 Adjusting diagnostic messages
In the delivery state, all diagnostic messages are deactivated, i.e. all DIP switches
are in the OFF position. All tolerance settings are set to ON (10 %).
The mode switch S3 for setting the diagnostic messages is located under PG
screw connection A. See g Fig. 8.
Even if the diagnostic message on the PLC control is switched off, pending diag-
noses are displayed via the corresponding LEDs. See
Procedure
Use switches S3.1 - S3.6 to activate or deactivate the diagnostic message on
u
the PLC control.
However, the changes are activated only after a new "Power-on".
