General
2.9.2 Carrier / Lifting device
•
The used carrier/lifting device (e.g. excavator) have to be in good, safe working condition.
•
Only authorized and qualified persons are allowed to operate the carrier/lifting device.
•
The operator of the carrier/lifting device must have all the necessary qualifications.
•
Never exceed the maximum allowable carrying capacity/working load limit (WLL) of the
carrier/lifting device and the lifting gear.
2.9.3 Safety in Hydraulic pressure mode
•
The best gripping power will be achieved if the control lever is pressed two more seconds after the
gripping (closing action). Subsequent the control lever must be moved back in the neutral position.
•
This valve is adjusted and sealed by the manufacturer (for the maximum hydraulic pressure
adjustment). Do not remove the sealing without contacting the manufacturer.
3 General
3.1 Authorized use
The device (VZ-H-UNI-KV) is only designed for the paving and transporting of one precast kerb stone,
granite kerb stone, slab, L-shaped retaining wall, wall element, natural stone block in connection to any
carrier (e.g. hydraulic excavator, wheel loader) or "Probst Installation Machine" (e.g. VM-301, VM-X).
A hydraulic circuit of the carrier is necessary for the operation of the device (VZ-H-UNI-KV).
•
Standard grippers are replaced with special rock grippers VZ-H-UNI-FG (41600160) for
installation of wall elements, rocks and boulders.
•
multifunctional gripping adapter VZ-H-UNI-RG (41600176) for accurate installation of up to 6
grass pavers (according to the size of layer) in one go.
SPECIAL FEATURE: adapter can be reversed - thus bulky and large-seized slabs are installed
by steel finger grippers
•
Optional rubber grippers VZ-H-UNI-GBL (41600151) with larger inside height.
ATTENTION: The use of this device is only permitted in proximity to the ground (→ chapter
"Safety at work" and "Explanation of basic concepts").
Only stone elements with parallel and plane surface are allowed to be picked-up and handled.
Because the gripping good could fall down.
