GENERAL CLEANING AND TIGHTENING
The MARUYAMA Pruner will provide maximum performance for many, many hours if it is
maintained properly. Good maintenance includes regular checking of all fasteners for
correct tightness, and cleaning the entire machine.
POTENTIAL HAZARD
• When engine is running, attached tool and other parts are moving.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
• Contact with moving tool or other moving parts could cause serious personal injury
or death.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
• Always turn off your Pruner before you clean or perform any maintenance on it.

WARNING
STORAGE
For long term storage of the Pruner:
1. Empty the fuel tank into a suitable fuel storage container.
2. Run the engine to remove any fuel that may remain in the carburetor.
3. Perform all regular maintenance procedures and any needed repairs.
4. Remove the spark plug and squirt a very small amount of engine oil into the cylinder.
5. Pull the starter grip once.
6. Slowly pull the starter grip to bring the piston to the top of the cylinder (TDC).
7. Reinstall the spark plug.
8. Store the Pruner in a dry place away from excessive heat, sparks or open flame.
POTENTIAL HAZARD
• Oil may squirt out of the spark plug opening when you pull the starter grip.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
• Oil can cause eye injuries.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
• Protect your eyes and keep your face away from the spark plug opening.
ENTREPOSAGE
Remisage de la Élagueuse:
1. Videz le réservoir à carburant dans un bidon approprié homologué pour entreposer
l'essence.
2. Allumez le moteur pour éliminer les restes de carburant à l'intérieur du carburateur.
3. Réalisez toutes les procédures de maintenance régulière et toute autre réparation
nécessaire.
4. Retirez la bougie et répandez une petite quantité d'huile dans le cylindre.
5. Tirez une fois la poignée du démarreur.
6. Tirez lentement la poignée pour faire monter le piston jusqu'à la partie supérieure du
cylindre (TDC).
7. Réinstallez la bougie.
8. Remisez la Élagueuse dans un lieu sec à l'abri de toute source de chaleur excessive,
d'étincelles ou de flammes nues.
RISQUE POTENTIEL
• En tirant la poignée du démarreur, l'huile peut se projeter à partir de l'orifice de la
bougie.
QUE PEUT-IL SE PASSER
• L'huile peut provoquer des lésions oculaires.
COMMENT ÉVITER LE DANGER
• Utilisez une protection visuelle et maintenez le visage éloigné de l'orifice de la
bougie.
STOCCAGGIO
Per un immagazzinamento prolungato del Potatore a filo:
1. Svuotare il serbatoio del carburante utilizzando un apposito contenitore adeguato.
2. Fare girare il motore per eliminare eventuale carburante residuo nel carburatore.
3. Eseguire tutte le normali procedure di manutenzione ed eventuali interventi di
riparazione.
4. Togliere la candela e versare una piccola quantità di olio nel cilindro.
5. Tirare l'impugnatura di avviamento una sola volta.
6. Tirare lentamente l'impugnatura di avviamento sino a portare il pistone nella parte alta
del cilindro (TDC).
7. Reinserire la candela.
8. Immagazzinare il Potatore a filo in un posto asciutto, lontano da fonti di calore
eccessivo, scintille o fiamme libere.
POTENZIALE RISCHIO
• L'olio può fuoriuscire dall'apertura della candela quando si tira l'impugnatura di
avviamento.
COSA PUÒ SUCCEDERE
• L'olio può danneggiare gli occhi.
COME EVITARE I PERICOLI
• Proteggere gli occhi e tenere il viso lontano dall'apertura della candela.
