CAUTION: Avoid skin contact with the
steam. The high temperature could cause
serious scalding. Never direct the steam jet
towards people or animals or items and sur-
faces that cannot withstand such high tem-
peratures.
A safety button (A2) is also present on the handle
(A6) and this deactivates the use of the steam but-
ton on the handle.
CAUTION: The safety button cannot be used
to dispense steam constantly; it can only be
used to prevent steam being dispensed acci-
dentally by children or by people who do
not know how to use the appliance. If you
must leave the nozzle (A) momentarily unat-
tended while the appliance is switched on,
always move the safety button (A2) to the
locked position. To recommence steam ope-
rations, move the button back to its initial
position.
When you have finished using the steam cleaner,
you can switch off the boiler tank by pressing the
relevant on/off button (13).
CAUTION: Always empty the boiler tank by
removing the safety cap (18) and upturning
the appliance once you have finished your
cleaning operations.
CAUTION: Never unscrew the cap while the
boiler tank is pressurised and never operate
the appliance without water.
NOTE: When you use the appliance for the first
time, it is possible that it will give off a smell for a
few minutes. This is caused by the heating and
resulting drying of the sealants used during the boi-
ler tank assembly.
