2.3 STEAM AND VACUUM
OPERATION
To use the appliance as a vacuum cleaner, follow
the steps described in section 2.1 "Vacuum opera-
tion only"; for steam operation, follow the steps
described in section 2.2 "Steam operation only".
By pressing the steam-dispensing button (A3) at the
same time as the vacuum button (A4) on the hand-
le, it is possible to use the appliance in combined
vacuum-steam-cleaning mode.
2.4 FILLING THE BOILER TANK
WHILE USING THE APPLIANCE
When the water in the boiler tank is finished, if you press the button A3, no steam will
be dispensed. To refill the boiler tank, proceed as follows:
a) switch off the boiler tank, using the boiler tank switch (13);
b) press the steam button (A3) to discharge any residual steam;
c) switch off the appliance using the main switch (8);
d) unplug the appliance from the mains power;
e) slowly unscrew the safety cap (16) and wait a few seconds for the hissing noise of
the residual steam to stop before unscrewing it completely.
WAIT A FEW MINUTES BEFORE POURING MORE WATER INTO THE BOILER TANK.
f) pour the water into the boiler tank using the funnel (G1), which is supplied with the
appliance. Pour the water in slowly at first to prevent any steam from coming out of
the tank;
g) screw the safety cap (16) firmly back into place;
h) plug the appliance into the mains power socket;
i) press the main switch (8);
l) press the boiler tank switch (13).
