Prepare the appliance for use, plugging it into a sui-
table mains power socket, after completely freeing
the power cord from its winder hook.
Press the main switch (8) to switch on the applian-
ce; the relevant warning light (9) will switch on and
the appliance is now ready for use as a vacuum
cleaner.
If you press the button (A4) on the handle (A6), the
suction function will begin to operate.
NOTE: When the suction function is on, the motor
sets itself to intermediate speed.
Pressing the button A5 once and holding it down
increases the suction power. Pressing twice and hol-
ding down the button A5, you can reduce suction
power.
Should it be necessary, while using the appliance
you can remove and empty out the water container,
as described in section 4.2 "Emptying and cleaning
the water container". In this case, the warning light
(10) will begin to flash, indicating that the container
is not in its seating. As soon as the empty container
has been correctly fitted into the appliance, the war-
ning light (10) will switch on and the appliance can
be used again.
However, when the dirty water in the container rea-
ches the maximum permitted level, a safety device
will automatically switch off the suction power.
