Protection functions and properties:
• Temperature monitoring
– The protection device locks out when the preset motor winding temperature, discharge gas temperature or oil
temperature is exceeded 3 times within 2 hours.
• Monitoring of rotation direction, phase sequence and phase failure
– The rotation direction is monitored within the first 5 seconds after compressor start (operating recognition). If
the compressor starts with the wrong rotation direction during this time span, the protection device locks out
immediately .
– In case of phase asymmetry, the device opens the relay contact in the safety chain and closes it again after
10 seconds.
If phase asymmetry is detected 4 times within 20 minutes or in case of 11 phase failures/phase asymmetries
within 24 hours, the protection device locks out immediately .
• Single phase failure and cable short-circuit monitoring
• Replaces the SE-E2.
• The previous models are fully exchangeable, with the same functionality and terminal assignment. Dimensions
and their integration into the control are also identical.
• Suitable for operation with frequency inverter.
• Complies with EN/UL 60730.
