Residence Condens IS n
fig. 2
When the operation is finished set the mode selector to the required
position (summer, winter or off).
The following conditions may occur when operating:
- If there is no heat request, the boiler will go into standby,
- if there is a heat request, the boiler starts and the flame comes on,
while the signal light is green and fixed (A - fig. 4).
A - green led
boiler status
fig. 4
The display will show the temperature in the boiler or the domestic
hot water temperature depending on the request in progress.
The boiler will continue operating until the set temperatures are
reached, after which it will go into standby, in any event maintaining
the temperature displayed.
If there are any firing or operation faults, the boiler will make a "safety
stop"; on the control panel the green led will go out, the display will
show a flashing fault code and, in the event of a lockout also the red
led (B - fig. 4) will come on.
To identify the fault code and to reset the boiler, see the chapter "Dis-
play and fault codes".
After a "safety stop", wait about 10 seconds before restoring
the start-up conditions.
D - Adjusting the heating water temperature
To adjust the temperature of the heating water, turn the knob with
the symbol
(fig. 5): turn clockwise to increase the temperature, or
anticlockwise to reduce it.
fig. 5
When turning the knob the display starts blinking, displaying the tem-
perature variation.
Depending on the type of system, the most suitable tempera-
ture range can be pre-selected:
- standard systems 40-80 °C
- floor installations 20-45°C.

E -
Adjusting the heating temperature with
an external probe connected
If there is an external probe, the outlet temperature value is auto-
matically chosen by the system, which quickly adapts the ambient
temperature to any variations in the outdoor temperature.
If you want to alter the temperature value (increasing or reducing
the value automatically calculated by the electronic card), use the
heating water temperature selector: turn it clockwise to increase the
temperature, or anticlockwise to reduce it. The correction possibility
is between -5 and +5 levels of comfort, shown on the digital display
by rotating the knob.
F -
Adjustment of the domestic hot water
temperature
MODE A (heating only) - adjustment not applicable
MODE B heating only + external storage tank with thermostat - ad-
justment not applicable
MODE C only heating + external storage tank with probe - to adjust
the temperature of the domestic water held in the storage tank, turn
the temperature selector: turn clockwise to increase the temperature,
or anticlockwise to reduce it.
The adjustment field is between 35 and 60 °C.
When selecting the temperature, for heating or hot water, the display
shows the value being selected.
About 4 seconds after selection, the modification is stored and the
display resumes the delivery temperature.
G - Temporary switch-off
In the event of temporary absences (weekends, short trips, etc.) set
the mode selector to "
" (off/reset) (fig. 6).
The digital display is as shown opposite ("- -") (fig. 7).

While the electrical supply and the fuel supply remain active, the boil-
er is protected by the systems:
Antifreeze
- heating: the function is activated if the temperature measured by
the outlet probe drops below 6° C. A heat request is generated in
this phase with the ignition of the burner at minimum output, which
is maintained until the water temperature reaches 35° C;
- domestic hot water: the function is activated if the temperature
measured by the domestic water probe drops below 4° C. A heat
request is generated in this phase with the ignition of the burner at
minimum output, which is maintained until the water temperature
reaches 55° C.
During the anti-freeze phase the blinking letters AF are shown on the
display (fig. 8).
