DRIVE CHAIN

Check the drive chain slack.
Drive chain slack: 20–30 mm (0.8–1.2 in)
Proper chain slack is obtained when drive chain slack
is up and down, at a point midway between the two
sprockets.
If the chain slack is too tight or too loose, follow these
procedures.
1. Place the vehicle on a level ground.
2. Loosen the rear axle housing bolts A and nuts B.
3. Loosen the lock nut C and turn the adjusting bolt
D until the correct slack.
4. After adjusting the chain slack, tighten the rear
axle housing bolts A and nuts B to the specified
torque.
5. Tighten the lock nut securely C.
