BATTERY
The battery is located under the front center fender.
Remove the screws and pull it backward to take off
the front center fender.
Remove the rubber band.
Remove the battery from the vehicle.
NOTE:
Do not use excessive force, or the front center
fender will break.
A: 5 × 12 mm tapping screw (with washer)
B: Front center fender
C: Hook
D: Slit
Remove the battery filler caps.
Fill each cell of the battery with fresh electrolyte
between upper and lower limit lines.

Remove the rubber cap from battery vent
before servicing battery.

Charge the battery with a 12 volt battery
charger limiting the maximum charging cur-
rent to 1.1 amperes.

A higher ampere charging rate can drastically
reduce battery life and efficiency due to dam-
age to the battery plates. Charging the battery
for a shorter time of period than the specified
will also drastically shorten the service life of
the battery and limit its potential power.
NOTE:
The standard specific gravity of the proper
electrolyte should be 1.28 at 20°C (68°F).
