3.2 Temperature sensor (heating controller N1)
Depending on the type of heat pump used, the following
temperature sensors are already installed or must be additionally
mounted:
External temperature (R1) (see Chap. 3.2.2 on p. 4)
Temperature, heating circuit 1, 2 and 3 (R2, R5 and R13)
(see Chap. 3.2.3 on p. 5)

Heating controller with removable control panel
All temperature sensors to be connected to the heating controller
with removable control panel must correspond to the sensor
characteristic curve shown in Fig. 3.3 on p. 4. The only exception
is the external temperature sensor included in the scope of
supply of the heat pump (see Chap. 3.2.2 on p. 4)

3.2.2
Mounting the external temperature sensor
The temperature sensor must be mounted so that all weather
conditions are taken into consideration and the measured value
is not falsified.
Installation:
On the external wall of a heated room used as living space,
if possible on the north or north-west side of the building
Not in a "sheltered position" (e.g. niche in a wall or under a
balcony)
Not in the vicinity of windows, doors, exhaust air vents,
external lighting or heat pumps
Not to be exposed to direct sunlight at any time of year
