Neither the protective lid nor the dome lid should be placed on the grill when lighting it.
DK
Check that the gas bottle valve is open (ON position or the regulator is turned as far
as it can be anti-clockwise).
DE
1. Start by lighting the innermost burner. Press the central knob (16) and turn it anti-
clockwise to position B.
GB
2. Push the ignition button (18) and hold it in until you see clear flames from the
innermost burner. Each time you push the ignition button, you will hear a loud
click, and the ignition system produces a spark to ignite the gas. If you hold the
ES
button in, the ignition system will continue to produce a spark every few seconds.
3. If you do not succeed in lighting the burner, you must turn off the middle knob (16)
by turning it to the vertical position (A). Wait for a couple of minutes, and then
FR
try again. If you still have no luck, turn off the gas again and wait for a couple of
minutes until the gas has dispersed.
IS
4. As a last resort, turn the central knob to position B again and try lighting the
innermost burner using a match. If it still does not ignite, the grill has probably
been assembled incorrectly, or the gas bottle is empty. Check the gas bottle,
IT
regulator and joints.
Once the innermost burner has been lit, it is time to try and light the two outside
NL
burners. First turn the top knob for the outside right-hand burner (15) to position B,
then turn the ignition knob (18) several times until the burner ignites. Then turn on
the outside left-hand burner using the bottom regulating knob (17).
NO
If one of the outside burners has already been lit and is burning with a clear flame, it
should not be necessary to use the ignition knob to light the other burner.
PT
Regulation
In position A the burner is off. In position B the burner is on full. Turning the
SE
knob downwards from position B gradually reduces the heat. When the knob is
turned to position C, the burner burns at the lowest possible setting without being
FI
extinguished.
Turning-off
Turn off the grill by turning all three regulation knobs to the vertical position (A) with
markings pointing upwards. Then open the door to the gas bottle and turn off the gas
regulator.
Warnings concerning turning-off:
• Always close the gas regulator on the gas bottle after use. Remember that children
playing may accidentally turn the knobs on the grill and cause gas to leak out.
• The cabinet door can be hot. Use gloves when opening it or leave the grill to cool
down first.
Cooking without a lid
Start by lighting all the burners one by one. Leave the grill to burn for 10 min. until
the grid is hot.
Ensure that the drip bowl (2) is clean and has been placed in the holder.
You can now regulate the individual burners so the heat suits the foods to be cooked.
You can use the grill with any combination of burner settings. You will often find that
one side burner provides enough heat and allows you to position the pieces of food so
they are slowly warmed – this is an advantage, for example, when heating up bread.
Roasting with dome lid
We recommend that you do not use the dome lid with all the burners on. When the
lid is on, the temperature increases very quickly, and very high temperatures may
permanently discolour the grill.
Roasting under a lid is practical when you want to cook large joints of meat. Light the
side burners – or possibly just one of them. Position the joint of meat in the centre
of the grid, or so that it is exposed to as little direct heat as possible. Keep an eye on
the thermometer. Food in ovens is usually cooked at temperatures of 130-300°C – at
higher temperatures there is a risk of scorching.
It is important that the dome lid is positioned correctly when used on a lit
grill (19):
• First place the lid in the centre of the grid.
• Then pull the lid right out to the inside edge of the grill cabinet.
• The ventilation heat from the grill will then escape on the opposite side of the lid in
relation to the handle, which means that the handle will not overheat.
Ventilation is necessary for the dome lid to function optimally.
After roasting
The dome lid does not protect the grill from rain. Leave the grill to cool down and
place the flat protective lid on top of the grill after use.
Cleaning and maintenance
Always check that the grill is cold before cleaning it. Wash the grill with hot
water water and a mild detergent. Then rinse well with clean water and wipe dry.
Remember to clean the grill thoroughly at regular intervals, and use a grill brush
to clean the grid after use. The surface of the grill is prone to damage if sharp
implements or abrasive cleaning agents are used to clean it.
The grid, the flavouriser plate and the burner compartment will gradually become
darker as they are exposed to heat. Such darkening cannot be cleaned off, but any
food residues can be removed using a steel brush.
For a particularly thorough clean, a mixture of soft soap and household ammonia may
be applied to the grid and the flavouriser plate. Place the parts in a sealed plastic bag
for several hours, preferably overnight. Then remove them from the bag and clean
according to the normal procedure.
The burners (12, 13 and 14) may gradually become clogged up. Clean the burners
regularly using a stiff brush, and check that the holes in the pipes are not blocked.
The drip bowl should be cleaned every time you have used the grill. You may like to
line the bowl with a piece of aluminium foil before use to facilitate cleaning once the
grill has cooled down.
