BASIC OPERATION IN SETUP
MENU
To move to the next tab, turn the
Dial. (When the icon in the tab area
is selected, it is possible to change
the setting menu by pressing the
buttons as well.)
While in the Set-up Menu:
Use the
buttons to select menu
items. Press the

open sub-menus or dialogs. (In
some items, a special screen or a
dialog message may open.)
While in set-up sub-menus:

i-TTL AUTO FLASH
The camera measures the reflected light of pre-flashes and
give the optimal flash output. Selectone of the following two
meathods.
i-TTL balanced fill-flash (Flash mode: [TTL-BL])
It controls the flash output to balancethe exposures of the
subject and background.
When the camera's metering mode is set to spot metering,
selecting i-TTL-BL balanced fill-flash is unavailable.

Standard i-TTL (Flash mode: [TTL])
It controls the flash amount that is suitable only for the subject,
without considering the background exposure.
Set the flash mode to [TTL-BL] or [TTL].

If the
mark is indicated for five seconds right after the
shooting, the flash amount level might be too high or too low.
