Flush the system with potable water and not with heat
transfer medium.

never flush the system when there is a frost.
f Separate the expansion vessel from the solar thermal

system.
f Close the gravity brake by turning the ball valve to the 90°
f
position. the gravity brake is integrated inside the ball
valve above the pump.

f Connect the water supply to the BdF valve (connection

"fill") next to the pressure gauge.
f Connect the water drain pipe to the BdF valve (connec-

tion "drain") next to the flow meter.
6.5.2 Flushing the solar thermal system
f Open BdF valves "fill" and "drain".

f Commission the flushing and filling station and fill the sys-
f
tem with water.
f Flush the system for at least 15 minutes.

Damage to the appliance and environment

after flushing, drain the system fully.
Residual water can cause damage if there is a frost.
