6.3 Hydraulic connection
f Install the solar compact installation in the return line of
f
the solar circuit (cold side; heat transfer medium flows to-
wards the collector).
f Install the pipework between the solar compact instal-
f
lation and the cylinder, and between the solar compact
installation and the collectors.
f Fit the thermometer supplied, together with the sensor
f
well, into the flow line (hot side, heat transfer medium
comes from the collector).
Damage to the appliance and environment
!
damage from high temperatures: as the heat transfer
medium close to the collector can be very hot, install
the valve assembly far enough away from the collector
array. a pre-cooling vessel may be required to protect
the expansion vessel.
Note
to prevent incorrect circulation of the system, we rec-
ommend installing an additional gravity brake in the
flow line. this is included as standard in the cylinder
connection set SOKI SaS.
f Seal lines made with locking ring fittings, press fittings
f
and corrugated hoses by suitable means. Seals must be
resistant to glycol and temperatures up to 180 °C.

f nevertheless, check for leaks during commissioning (pres-

6.4 installing the expansion vessel
the expansion vessel is not part of the standard delivery. It is
available from us as an accessory.
1 Connection for expansion vessel
Our expansion vessel is suitable for use with heat transfer
media h-30 l and h-30 lS. Observe the maximum permissible
operating pressure (see chapter "Specification/data table").
the expansion vessel pre-charge pressure must be 0.3 mPa
prior to the system being filled.
f Prior to the system being filled, conduct a pre-charge
f
pressure test.
an adjustment of the pre-charge pressure subject to height is
not permissible.
