9. DMX connection
b) Setting up a master-slave chain
Alternatively to the operation with a DMX controller, the laser can be used as device within a master-slave chain. In that case,
the built-in controller of the master device acts as controller for any connected slave devices.
• Connect the DMX output of the master device to the DMX input of the first slave device.
• Connect the DMX output of the first slave device to the DMX input of the subsequent slave device.
• Proceed the same way for all other subsequent slave devices.
• Insert an XLR plug with terminating resistor into the DMX output of the last slave device (as described under "Connecting
a DMX controller").
10. Mains connection
Connect the laser device to a mains socket that is located near the device and is easily accessible in
order to disconnect the device from the mains immediately in case of malfunctions.
The mains cable must not get in contact with other cables.
Take care when handling mains cables and mains sockets. Mains voltage can cause fatal electric
shocks.
Do not leave cables exposed. Guide them professionally in order to avoid the risk of accidents or
damage to the mains cable.
Before connecting the mains plug, make sure the voltage specified on the laser device matches the
mains voltage used. If it does not match the mains voltage used, do not connect the device. Using
incorrect power supply could cause permanent damage to the device or hazards for the user.
The LOCK key switch (4) must always be switched off (OFF position) when connecting the device in
order to avoid accidental activation of the laser beam.
