7. Installation
• Mount the device to the ceiling or an appropriate crossbeam system. Secure it with the mounting hole of the mounting
bracket (1). The mounting material and accessories used must be suitable for the mounting method and be able to
withstand the load of the device.
• Use a self-locking nut or screw connection at the fastening point to attach the device.
• Align the laser as desired after installation and securely tighten the two clamping screws (2) of the mounting bracket.
• In addition, secure the installation with a suitable and certified safety rope or safety net that can withstand 12 times the load
of the device. The device features a loop (15) for the safety rope for just that purpose.
• The safety rope or net must be able to hold the laser device independently from the main mounting device in case the main
suspension fails. In case the main suspension fails, the laser must not free-fall for more than 20 cm.
8. Connection of safety interlock
The laser device is equipped with a plug connector for an external safety interlock in order to guarantee safe operation. This
plug connector can be connected, for example, to an emergency switch or door contact.
The laser must never be operated without such external safety device. Contact an expert before first-time
operation of the device about how to secure the operation of the laser.
• Connect the included plug connector to the ports on the external safety interlock.
• Connect the plug connector to the REMOTE interface (5) and secure the connection with the cap nut.
• When the contact is open, the laser beam will be released. When closed, the laser beam will be turned off.
