7. Start-up
Setting up a master slave chain
The effect light can be operated controlled by a DMX controller or in a master slave chain. In that case, the integrated
controller of the master device controls the connected slave devices.
•
Connect the DMX OUT port (4) of the master device to the DMX IN port (2) of the first slave device.
•
Connect the DMX OUT port (2) of the first slave device with the DMX IN port (1) of the second slave device.
•
Proceed with all remaining slave devices as described above.
•
Plug an XLR plug with a terminating resistor into the DMX OUT port (4) of the last slave device (as described in
section "Connection of a DMX controller").
7.3 Mains connection
The mains outlet to which the effect light is connected must be easily accessible to quickly
separate the device from the mains voltage in case of an error.
Do not let the mains cable come into contact with other cables.
Be careful when handling the mains cables and mains connection. Mains voltage can lead to
a fatal electric shock.
Make sure that no cables lie around openly. Install cables professionally to prevent accidents.
Caution: some effect lights are equipped with a mains voltage selection switch. If your device
has a mains voltage selection switch, set the correct voltage of your mains supply.
Setting the wrong voltage can result in irreparable damage to the device and exposes the user
to risks.
•
Set the correct operating voltage using the mains voltage selection switch (if available).
•
Connect the mains connector to the POWER connection (1) on the device.
•
Put the plug of the power line into a grounded wall socket.
•
Switch the device on or off using the ON/OFF switch (3).
