Zero point calibration
If the sensor is operated with a ProMinent con‐
trol device, then zero point calibration is not
generally necessary. Perform zero point cali‐
bration if you are using the sensor at the lower
threshold of the measuring range.
1.
Immerse the sensor in a bucket with
clean chlorine-free tap water.
2.
Stir with the sensor until the reading on
the control device remains steady for at
least 5 minutes.
3.
Calibrate the control device to zero in
accordance with its operating instruc‐
tions.l
4.
Refit the sensor into the flow gauge
(DGMA; DLG III).
Gradient calibration
1.
Determine the chlorine content of the
sample water using an appropriate sam‐
pling instrument (e.g. DPD 1)
2.
Set the value ascertained on the control
device in accordance with its operating
instructions.
Repeat the calibration after one day
ð
to ensure that the sensor has
reached its maximum sensitivity
(gradient).
