8.4.3 The conveyor module
The motor controller used permits clockwise/counterclockwise rotation, inching operation and speed
control.
An optical proximity sensor is used to verify that workpieces are present at the start of the conveyor. The
end of the conveyor and the fill level of the slides are captured by a light barrier with a 90° deflection.
The workpieces are ejected onto the slides by 2 attached electromagnets (solenoids) with deflector. The end
positions of the solenoids are monitored by inductive proximity sensors.

The conveyor module can be mounted on a profile
plate, a profile foot or a slotted mounting plate.
The conveyor module is suitable for transporting,
buffering and separating workpieces with a
diameter of 40 mm (e.g. workpiece set "Cylinder
bodies" or "For cylinder assembly").
The conveyor belt is driven by a freely positionable
DC gear motor.
