403-1 System, Distributing Pro-Joining-Sorting Inline – Operating instructions
8.3.1 Conveyor module 1
The conveyor belt is driven by a freely positionable DC gear motor.
The gear motor is not suitable for continuous operation.
A relative duty cycle of 10% is the maximum permissible with a cycle time of 10 minutes.
If the duty cycle is too long, it may destroy the gear motor.
The motor controller used permits clockwise/counterclockwise rotation, inching operation and speed
control.
Optical proximity sensors with fiber-optic cables are used to verify that workpieces are present at the start
of the conveyor, upstream from the deflector and at the end of the conveyor.
The workpieces can be stopped and separated by an attached electromagnet (solenoid) with feed separator.
The end positions of the solenoid are monitored by inductive proximity sensors.
A diffuse sensor with digital and analog output signal above the stopper identifies the workpiece in the
standard program and captures the orientation of the workpiece.
26
The conveyor module can be mounted on a profile
plate, a profile foot or a slotted mounting plate.
The conveyor module is suitable for transporting,
buffering and separating workpieces with a diameter
of 40 mm (e.g. workpiece set "Cylinder bodies" or
"For cylinder assembly").
