5 Work and safety instructions
5.1 General
•
Trainees should only work with the components and systems under the supervision
of an instructor.
•
Observe specifications included in the datasheets for the individual components,
and in particular all safety instructions!
•
Wear personal protective equipment (safety goggles, safety shoes) when working
on circuits.
5.2 Mechanical aspects
•
Switch off the power supply!

Risk of injury during troubleshooting!

Mount all of the components securely on the profile plate.
•
Make sure limit switches are not actuated from the front.
•
Set all components up in a way that enables easy activation of the switches and
disconnectors.
•
Follow the instructions regarding the positions of the components.

Switch off both the operating power and the control power before working on
the circuit.
Only reach into the setup when it is at a complete standstill.
Be aware of potential overtravel times for the actuators.
Use a tool such as a screwdriver when actuating mechanical limit switches.
