avoided. The persons present or the unit could be damaged.
■ Storage temperature has to be between -5 °C and +55 °C.

Given that the checking of the headlights has to be done when the vehicle engine is
running, an adequate exhaust extraction system must be provided. If carbon monoxide
is inhaled accidentally this might cause severe damage to the human organism and in

Do not leave the Headlight Tester in the sun or close to hot items such as stoves,
radiators, etc.

Do not leave the Headlight Tester in the rain or in very damp environment, as the
electronics might be damaged.
■ If the Headlight Tester is not used for a longer period of time it should be covered with
the adequate dust cover (optional accessory).

The Headlight Tester has a battery, with improper handling of this battery there might be
a risk of fi re or explosion. To avoid such risks, the area around the battery should not be
heated or exposed to fl ames; when replacing the battery, please make sure to take
a new battery with the same characteristics.

Should functional disorders occur, please contact your dealer or send the device to the
closest customer service centre.

In case individual parts need to be replaced, please order original spare parts from
a licensee or a retailer.
■
In case of unauthorized handling of any device part, the warranty becomes invalid.

From January 1st, 2015 the installation surface must meet the requirements according to
HU-Headlight-Test Guideline.
Guideline for the testing of the headlight adjustment of motor vehicles in the general
inspection acc. to § 29 Road Traffi c Licensing Regulations (StVZO). Make sure that the area
is designed according to this guideline listed in the following excerpts.
The alignment surface for two-lane motor vehicles consists of two lanes, the surface for
installing the Headlight Tester of a separate area.
Size, location and identifi cation of these areas have to comply with the following fi gure:.
In order to attach the mirror visor to the column, take off the
plastic cover fi rst. Then attach the unit to the column in the order
and to the position shown on the image.
