DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The following requirements must be exactly followed in order to preserve user and device
against damage.
■ Read the labels on the device and make sure that they are not covered; in case they are
damaged, replace them immediately.
■
The device must only be operated by authorized and trained personnel.
■ Do not use the device in potentially explosive environments.
■
The working environment must be dry and suffi ciently ventilated.
■
When moving the device please pay attention to other persons, especially children that
might be present.
The headlight tester is a device to check and adjust the
headlights of all kinds of motorcycles, vehicles and trucks.
The device can be design in a movable version and will then be
equipped with a basic plate with rubber castor rollers.
The optical housing is height-adjustable by means of a sliding
mechanism with precisely and silently operating plastic shoes,
kept in position by a spring. The steel cover has a centimetre
scale which is used for precise positioning with regard to the
headlights.
The panel is equipped with either an analogue or digital display,
as well as with a switching device to select the headlight mode
(high beam)
In the upper part and at the side on the optical housing there are
two displays for the inclination of the control shade: the lateral
scale is from 0% to 4% inclination whereas the upper scale
states the decimal digits.
The mirror visor used for the positioning of the vehicle is on top
of the device.
