l) "Auto Entry" mode (automatic code recognition)
• By default, the code lock is set to manual entry mode. In this mode, after you enter a user/
guest code, you need to confirm your entry with the # key (hash key). The master code does
not need to be the same length as the user codes. The codes can be 4–8 digits long – for
example, an 8-digit master code can be used with 5,4 or 3-digit user codes. Vice versa, you
can also use a 5-digit master code with an 8, 4 or 5-digit user code.
• In auto-entry mode, you do NOT need to press the # key (hash key) to confirm the entry of
a user/guest code. However, the user codes must have the same number of digits as the
master code. For example, you cannot set a 4-digit master code and a 6-digit user code. The
codes must be 4–8 digits long – if the master code is 8 digits, the user codes must also be 8
digits. Similarly, a 4-digit master code can only be used with 4-digit user codes.
Using a very short master code reduces the security of the system (longer codes are
more secure) as well as the number of user code combinations.
