automatic door may have to comply with TÜV
specifications (especially in Germany).
In this case, some of the functions described
in the following pages should be ignored.
They are marked with *.

BS7036-1996 (Part 1)
Supervision of doors
Where appropriate, staff should be trained in
the use of powered doors to enable them, as
applicable, to:
a/ advise parents and their children of the
risks to ensure that children are not exposed
to unnecessary risks at powered doors;
b/ help and advise elderly, infirm and
disabled persons;
c/ take appropriate action in an emergency.
