Operation
3.1
Setup of the Electrosurgical Device
The KLS Martin HF Cart (item no. 80-070-00-04) is delivered fully assembled. As soon as the
two retaining pins have been mounted, the intended electrosurgical device (e.g. an HF surgical
unit, an Argon Beamer or a smoke evacuator) can be put in place on the trolley.
NOTICE
Please refer to the Operating Instructions of the respective HF surgical unit or contact the
person responsible for the device. Be sure to follow the safety instructions provided in said
user manual!
Where necessary separate information is provided concerning the assembly of the optional cart
components.
CAUTION
Risk of injury and damage!
When setting up the electrosurgical devices there is a risk that they may fall from the cart if
they are not fixed in position and can move unchecked.
As long as the electrosurgical device has not been properly positioned and fixed in place, the
Cart must be secured by locking the castors (see (7) on page 2 ).

If the HF surgical device is
set up on an inclined
surface, you are advised to
secure it using a
connecting bar in addition
to retaining pins. The
HF Cart is supplied with a
connection system
consisting of a clamping
rail and suitable screws.
