Removing/installing and adjusting the cutter deck
The suspension/lifter is spring-supported
and can spring back upwards once the
cutter deck is separated from the lifter.
When releasing the cutting height
adjustment lever with the cutting
mechanism removed, it can spring violently
upwards.
¾ Work with caution.
Disassembly Z
Park the device on an even surface and switch the
Î
parking brake on.
Bring the wheels of the cutter deck into the
Î
highest position.
Lower the cutter deck and bring it into the lowest
Î
position.
If available, remove the V-belt guide bracket a .
Î
Note
In doing so, pay attention to the fixing holes
so that you can use these again for the sub-
sequent assembly.
Remove the V-belt from the PTO coupling (engine
Î
pulley).
Only for devices with a PTO lever b : Detach the
Î
PTO Bowden cable [A] from the cutter deck.
- Remove the split pin 1 .
- Push the Bowden cable [A] out of the bracket 2 .
- Detach the spring from the clamping roller brack-
et 3 .
Remove the safety cotter pin from the left-rear
Î
mower bracket [A] c 1 .
Detach the cutter deck from the mower
Î
bracket [A] c 2 .
Repeat the steps on the right side of the device.
Î
Note
In this process, hold onto the cutting mech-
anism tightly so that it does not simply fall
onto the floor.
Place the cutting height adjustment lever in the
Î
highest notch.
Detach the front mounting bracket from the cutter
Î
deck d .
- Remove the split pin 1 .
- Remove the mounting bracket [A] from the brack-
et 2 .
Pull the cutter deck out to the right below the
Î
device.
Assembly
To reinstall the cutter deck, perform the steps in
Î
the "Disassembly" section in reverse order.
CAUTION!
Adjusting the cutter deck
Park the device on an even surface and apply the
Î
parking brake.
Note
Before aligning the cutters check the tyre
pressure on the device.
When mowing does not appear to be parallel to the
lawn, the cutter deck can be aligned.
Adjusting the lateral cutter deck level Y
Move the cutter deck to the mid-height position.
Î
Carefully turn the outer cutting blades transverse
Î
to the direction of travel.
Measure the distance between the ground and the
Î
ends of the two outer blades.
The distance should always be equal. If necessary,
you can set the correct level as follows. Perform the
adjustment on the adjustment segment [A] on the
left side of the cutter deck:
Release the locknuts 1 .
Î
To set the level, turn the adjusting nuts 2 .
Î
Re-tighten the lock nut. (Tightening torque
Î
= 34–40 Nm)

Note
First check the side cutter deck level.
Park the device on an even surface and switch the
Î
parking brake on.
Move the cutter deck to the mid-height position.
Î
Carefully turn the outer cutting blades parallel to
Î
the direction of travel.
Measure the distance between the ground and the
Î
end of the right blade.
The end of the front blade should be about 6-9 mm
lower than the rear. If necessary, displace the front
mounting bracket [A] as follows:
Release the locknuts 1 .
Î
To set the level, turn the adjusting nuts 2 .
Î
Re-tighten the lock nut. (Tightening torque
Î
= 34–40 Nm)
Adjusting the height of the cutter deck N
Bring the cutter deck to the top height position.
Î
Carefully turn the outer cutting blades transverse
Î
to the direction of travel.
Measure the distance between the ground and the
Î
ends of the two outer blades.
The distance to the floor should be 10 cm (4").
If necessary, you can set the correct level as
follows. Perform the adjustment on the adjustment
segment [A] on the left and right side of the cutter
deck:
