3.14.2 Comfort chamber LW 800 / LW 1000
•
Where the chamber is installed in an area that can be driven over (Class D), the KESSEL chamber systems
must be installed in line with standard road-building regulations (RSto + ZTVE-StB, DIN 18196). If the KESSEL
chamber system is built with upper section and standard BEGU cover, there is no need for a 15 cm reinforced
bearing plate, otherwise this must be set in concreate 2.3 x 2.3 m around the upper section. A standard formwork
plan and reinforcement drawing can be provided by KESSEL.
•
On top of the gravel layer compressed in 30 cm layers, a 6-8 cm bitumen base course <36> is applied;
this is topped off by a 4 cm asphalt layer <37>.
•
The groundwater level in the chamber system must not exceed 0.5 m above chamber base.
During fitting of the chamber, care must be
taken that the gradient between
the inlet and outlet pipes is at least 1.5 cm.
