Control Circuit Connections
NOTE: All control terminals accept wire sizes from 12 to 26 AWG and should be tight-
ened to a torque of 3 in-lbs (0.35 Nm) maximum. Do not use power tools. All termi-
nals are 24 V or less. Control wiring should be copper, 75 °C or higher.
1. Pressure Transducer:
2. Pressure Sensor: If applicable, connect interchangeable sensor leads here.
3. Hand/Auto Switch: Connect a dry contact switch here for Hand or Auto modes.
4. Run/Stop Switch Connection: Connect a dry contact switch to this terminal to
5. PT100/1000 Connection: For external RTD temperature sensor
6. Moisture Sensor: For a Franklin Electric Moisture Sensor.
•
Connect the red cable lead to the +24 terminal.
•
Connect the black cable lead to the
•
Connect the white cable lead to the I+ terminal.
•
Connect the green cable lead to the I– terminal.
7.
Dual Setpoint: The drive will regulate to Pressure Setpoint 1 when this terminal is open. Pressure Set-
point 2 is active when this terminal is closed.
8. Analog (4-20mA) Output: This output can supply a circuit with a load resistance up to 900 ohms.
Refer to
"Analog Output Selection (DIP SW1 – Position 4)" on page
9. MultiDrive: Setup in the mobile app only. Make connections from each terminal to corresponding ter-
minal on the next drive(s) in series.
•
Shield wires should be connected together and grounded on one end only.
•
DIP Switch SW1 - Position 2 (to the left of the connector) should be in the Up (On) position for the
first and last drives in the series.
10. Digital Input: This feature will be used in the future.
• Connect the red cable lead to the TRANSDUCER (XDCR) +24 terminal.
• Connect the black cable lead to the – terminal.
• Connect the shield wire (when applicable) to the S terminal.
NOTE: A 200 PSI transducer is included with the drive.
Select the frequency via the UP/DOWN buttons. Refer to
page 12
for operation details.
select Run or Stop modes. By default, the drive will operate regularly when this
terminal is open and stop the motor if it is closed. Default setting can be reversed
using the menu and buttons or the mobile app.
NOTE: When Stop is selected, the motor stops even if in Auto mode.
• I+ Positive connection for excitation current circuit for 2, 3, and 4 wire PT100/
PT1000 RTD sensors. For 3–wire, use the brown wire. For 4–wire, use the red
wire.
• V+ Positive connection for voltage sensing circuit for 2, 3, and 4 wire PT100/
PT1000 RTD sensors. For 3–wire, use the white wire. For 4–wire, use the red
or blue wire.
• I- Negative connections for the excitation and voltage sensing circuits for 4
wire PT100/PT1000 RTD sensors. Use the white wire for connections.
• V- Negative connections for the excitation and voltage sensing circuits for 2,
