Use only copper wiring rated for 600 V with 75 C insulation. Refer to the owner's manual for wire sizes.
Use hand tools only to tighten these terminal block screws to a maximum torque of:
AWG 20 to 6: 12 in-lbs (1.35 Nm)
AWG 20 to 2: 31 in-lbs (3.5 Nm)
AWG 16 to 2/0: 50 in-lbs (5.5 Nm)
1.
Power Input Connector: Remove one of the knockouts on the bottom left side of the drive. Route the
incoming power leads through the opening on the bottom left side of the drive and connect them to
the Power Board terminal block. Copper wire size and ratings to be used per Owner's Manual.
• Use positions marked L1, L2, and
• Use positions marked L1, L2, L3, and
2. J10, J11 EMC Jumper: If any line to ground measurements exceed specification, or a Corner-Grounded
Delta power supply is used, these jumpers must be removed (four jumpers total). Refer to
Power Supply" on page
3.
Output to Motor: Route the motor leads through the opening
on the bottom center of the drive (large opening) and connect
them to the terminal block (#3 above) positions marked
(Ground), Red (W), Yellow (V), and Black (U). For drives that
include a dV/dt filter, motor connections are made at the termi-
nal block on the left side of the dV/dt filter (#3 at right). In this
case, the terminals are marked
(V), and Black (W). Copper wire size and ratings to be used
per Owner's Manual.
NOTE: Relay terminals accept wire sizes from 12 to 20 AWG
and should be tightened to a torque of 3 in-lbs (0.35 Nm).
4. System Run Relay: This connection activates whenever the
system is actively pumping. Both normally-open (NO) and
normally-closed (NC) contacts are provided. The contacts are rated 5 A at 250 VAC/30 VDC for general
purpose loads, or 2 A at 250 VAC/30 VDC for inductive loads (i.e. relay).
5. System Alarm Relay: This connection activates whenever the system is faulted. Both normally-open
(NO) and normally-closed (NC) contacts are provided. The contacts are rated 5 A at 250 VAC/30 VDC
for general purpose loads, or 2 A at 250 VAC/30 VDC for inductive loads (i.e. relay).
NOTE: These relays are for general use in Ordinary Locations, as defined in the National Electrical Code.
These circuits are not recommended to control critical systems such as chemical dosing, fire alarms, systems
in hazardous locations, etc.
