2. Intended use

With a danger and risk analysis, dangers created in the installation can be ascertained. If a dangerous situa-
tion is to be avoided, then the flashing lights can be used as an integral part of a technical safety system
(Safety Instrument System - SIS). Because of the very different integration of the flashing lights in various
safety architectures, they must be viewed differently. The flashing light is intended for use in safety relevant
applications with low requirement rates (low demand) in safety chains up to safety integration level 2 (SIL 2),
for applications with high requirement rates or continuous requirement (high demand) in safety chains up to
safety integration level 1 (SIL 1) and for starting alarms and similar applications in safety chains up to safety
integration level 2 (SIL 2).
In general, the operational safety of the device and the therefore connected system is only guaranteed dur-
ing intended use in accordance with the specifications of the operating manual. Custom-designed dangers
could result from inappropriate or unintended use of this device.

Two different drill diagrams are available for the fitting of the all-round flashlight version direct mounting.
Thread inserts M5 x 8 have been fitted to the base of the flashlight for attachment according to drill diagram 1.
Drill diagram 2 allows for the attachment with 4 through screws or such like from above. The drill hole for the
cable fittings must be adjusted to suit this. The attached rubber seal can be used as a template for drilling.
Please ensure that the assembly takes place on a level base (seals!).

The attachment drill holes can be seen in the
drill diagram. There is a M20x1,5 screw joint for
the cable fittings, suitable for cable diameters
of between 6,5 and 13,5 mm.
