1. Wear the shoulder belt so that it lies over the right-
shoulder.
2. Connect the shoulder strap clip A to the shoulder strap
holder (12).

3. To use the quick-release buckle B, press both sides
of the quick-release buckle at the same time, while
holding the hedge trimmer securely in your right hand.

Adjusting the rear handle angle (Fig. 7)
Risk of injury!
If used improperly or in a negligent manner, the
hedge trimmer may cause serious injury.
- Before adjusting the hedge shears angle, disconnect
the hedge trimmer from the mains.

The rear handle (9) can be adjusted to 5 different positions
(90°, 45°, 0°, –45°, –90°). To adjust the rear handle, follow
the steps below. It is not possible to adjust the rear handle
while the hedge trimmer is on. Make sure the hedge trimmer
is turned off before adjusting the rear handle.
To adjust the rear handle, proceed as follows:
1. Press and hold the position switch (6) forward.
2. Rotate the main rod (18) to the desired position.
3. Before turning the hedge trimmer on, make sure that
the position switch is back in the original position and
that the rear handle isn't blocked.

If used improperly or in a negligent manner, the
hedge trimmer may cause serious injury.
- Before adjusting the hedge shears angle, discon-
nect the hedge trimmer from the mains.
The hedge trimmer is equipped with hedge shears that can
be adjusted to 5 different positions (–30°, 0°, 30°, 60°, 90°).
To adjust the hedge shears angle, proceed as follows:
1. Using your right hand, press the release lever (16) and
at the same time, pull the locking lever (17) (see Fig.
2. Hold the trimmer rod (19) in your left hand and, with
help from the adjusting lever (3), turn the hedge shears
to the desired angle.
3. Release the release lever and locking lever in order to
lock the hedge shears into place.
Make sure the hedge shears are firmly locked into place
before turning on the hedge trimmer.

Instructions for use of the equipment

• Do not use the trimmer in rain or for cutting wet hedges!
• Check the hedge trimmer flex and its connections
before each and every use for visible signs of damage
(disconnect the power plug)! Do not use a faulty flex.
• Gloves: Protective gloves must be worn when using
the hedge trimmer.

Hedge trimming tips

The following tips will help you in working correctly with
the hedge trimmer:
- You can use the hedge trimmer to cut hedges, shrubs,
and bushes.
- The best cutting performance is achieved by guiding
the hedge shears so that the cutting teeth are oriented
at an angle of approx. 15° to the hedge.
- The oscillating teeth of the hedge shears can be used
in both directions.
- For cutting the sides of a hedge, cut from the bottom
to the top with curved movements.
