Method 3: Connection with the network in 3-pipe systems
Wiring instructions:
1.
The centralized controller can be applied to MVA systems, which can be connected to the network of the indoor unit or the
network of the outdoor unit . A centralized controller can control up to 16 outdoor systems and up to 255 indoor units.
2.
If the centralized controller has to be connected to the network of the indoor unit, carry out the connections according to
fig. 3.4. The controller can connect to any indoor unit in series, i.e. by connecting ports G1 and G2 of the controller with ports
D1 and D2 in correspondence to the communication cables. When the controller is connected to the terminal unit of the
internal network, a corresponding resistor with the communication cables on the G1 and G2 ports must be added.
3.
If the centralized controller has to be connected to the network of the outdoor unit, carry out the connections according to
fig. 3.5. The centralized controller can only be connected with the terminal system of the external network. Add a resistor
corresponding with the communication cables on ports G1 and G2.
4.
The DIP Switch of the centralized controller address (SA2_Addr-CC) indicates the address of the accessory, required when
different MVA systems are centrally controlled. The factory setting is "00000".
5.
If the centralized controller has to be connected to the network of a 3-pipe system, carry out the connections according to
fig. 3.6. Mode 2 is also applicable to the switching of the centralised controller in 3-pipe systems.
If the centralized controller has to be connected to the network of the outdoor unit, set the DIP switch as follows:
1.
On the master outdoor unit, the master unit setting DIP Switch (SA8) must be set to "00". Otherwise the setting is not valid.
2.
On the same cooling system, the centralized control address DIP switch (SA2_Addr-CC) on a non-master unit is not valid and
the setting does not need to be changed.
3.
The centralized control address DIP switch (SA2_Addr-CC) on a master unit of the system must be set to "0000".
4.
The centralized control address DIP switch (SA2_Addr-CC) on the master unit of the another cooling systems must be set as
follows:
5.
If the centralised controller needs to manage multiple separate systems, the address DIP switch to be set on each outdoor
Note: The DIP5 settings are not used
