ControL oF the UPgraDe kIt

Before the device can be checked for precision it must be cali-
brated, i .e., the device must be adjusted to a defined magnifi-
cation factor (see chapter 6).

The length of the instrument (with two sensing instruments,
e.g. T3/ T3 or T3/T2) is set to suit the calibration plates near
the calibration bore holes (see chapter 6).
Upgrade kit Multi-x
Control of the milling side: Apply measurement foil at 12
o'clock to the calibration plate of the milling side. With the
left hand, grip the scanner and place the milling side tool
upon the foil. Remove foil below the tool. If the foil can be
sensed under the tool, e. g. if the foil is stuck, the spherical
shell is positioned properly.
This test is to be carried out at the 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions
as well.
Examination of the sensory side: The hand piece is led to the
milling side and the position of the spherical shell with the
tool on the sensory side and on the foil is controlled.
