Setting up

_ The machine is intended exclusively for use
within dry, closed rooms.
_ Minimum space requirements for the desktop
scanner (incl. connections):
▪ Width: 360 mm
▪ Depth: 390 mm (excl. connection cable)
▪ Height: 310 mm
_ During operation, the room temperature must
be between 18 °C and 30 °C; avoid large varia-
tions in temperature.
▷ Place device on a sturdy substructure (table,
work bench, etc.) that can hold at least twice the
scanner weight, as listed in the technical speci-
fication. Apart from the carrying capacity of the
substructure, its stability and sturdiness is also
decisive for safe operation of the scanner.
▷ The opening of the scan chamber must face
away from windows and strong artificial light-
ing.
5.4

Installation of the software on

the PC

As each scanner is individually factory-cal-
ibrated, the data on the installation CD are
only valid for the respective scanner.
Prior to installation:
▷ Check if the serial number of the scan-
ner on the type plate is identical with the
serial number stated on the CD.
▷ Carry out the installation routine of the supplied
software as administrator, and follow the
installer instructions.

Installation of the scanner

Prior to installation:
▷ Check if the serial number of the scan-
ner on the type plate is identical with the
serial number stated on the CD.
▷ Make sure that the main switch of the scanner is
positioned on 0.
▷ Connect the two enclosed USB cables to the
scanner and the rear USB ports of the PC
(USB 2.0).
▷ Connect the mains cable to the power supply
connection of the scanner as well as to a mains
socket outlet.
▷ Switch device on (set main switch of scanner
to 1).

Activating additional modules

Additional modules must be activated in the scan-
ner software before they can be used.
▷ Click on
Application > Add Activation Code...
enter the received scanner-specific activation
code.

▷ Restart the software to activate the module.
