Caution!
When opening the lid of the Ceramica backdraft can cause a burst of flames.
Always be careful when opening the lid. Always open the lid slowly to prevent
a sudden surge of oxygen leasing to a burst of flames and always make sure
to wear heat-resistant gloves.
Caution!
The air inlet and the top vent can get very hot, use heat resistant gloves when
operating them.
Caution!
Do not use aluminum or tin foil in the charcoal basket. This blocks the supply
of air and has an immediate negative effect on the temperature.
Caution!
Leaving the air inlet bottom vent and the air outlet top vent open for too long
can result in the barbecue getting too hot. Do not overheat the kamado.
Grilling results will be best at moderate temperatures below 400 °C.
Caution!
If required, you can add extra charcoal during barbecuing with the use of
barbecue tongs. Never use firelighters or a barbecue lighting fluid when doing
so. This could result in a flare-up which can lead to physical injury and/or
material damage.
