4.2 Inserting tubes and plates
Caution! Microplates melt at extremely high temperatures.
Only heat microplates made of polystyrene to a maximum

70 °C.

Place the tubes or plate on the thermoblock by pressing gently
down.
For optimum temperature control, transfer the micro test tubes to
the exchangeable thermoblocks using Iso-Racks. The Iso-Rack re-
duces the heat exchange of the thermoblock with the environment.
If necessary close the Iso-Rack lid.

If using the microplate thermoblock: put on the lid.
5 MAINTENANCE
5.1 Cleaning
Danger! Electric shock as a result of penetration of liquid.
Switch off the Mixer HC and disconnect it from the power sup-

ply before starting cleaning or disinfecting the thermoblocks.
Do not allow any liquids to enter the inside of the housing.

Do not use spray disinfection.

Only reconnect the unit to the power supply once it is comple-
i
tely dry.
Clean the exchangeable thermoblocks immediately if sample fluid enters
the bore holes or the surface.

Clean with a mild, soap-based solution, using a lint-free cloth.
2.
Wipe off the soap solution with distilled water.
3.
Dry all cleaned parts.
